Organise your own event for National Science Week

Each year National Science Week is made up of around 1000 individual events held all over Australia.

To help you run an event we've got lots of information, promotional materials and logos. We'll also help you promote your event right here on the National Science Week web site.

There's also information for schools organising events for their students and local community.

Event funding

Each year we award $500 000 in National Science Week grants to around 40 recipients. In 2012 grants between $2000 and $25 000 are available, as well as three year grants for a total of $75 000. The grant round will be open for applications from 7 to 28 November 2011, with recipients to be announced in the new year.

National Science Week is coordinated by the Australian Government’s Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research.The Department works closely with volunteer Coordinating Committees in every state and territory to make this event a success.
