Starting 1st August head down to Wadlata Outback Centre or the Public Library with your iPhone or Smartphone to grab your map and discover extinct animals roaming through the city. Or take a quick look at our map right now to see where you might find them!
To take part, visit http://nationalscienceweek.iinet.net.au/download and download 2x FREE applications (apps) called “Layar and Jurassic Science Week” to an iPhone or Smartphone. This will enable you to see virtual dinosaurs that have been placed in the real world.
Port Augusta Photo competition
Get creative and take photos of yourself with extinct dinosaurs, reptiles and birds and submit them to brooke.mundy@portaugusta.sa.gov.au to be in the running for some GREAT PRIZES. Competition runs 1st until 21st August 2011.
If you are having trouble you can grab an instruction sheet with trouble shooting information from the Library or Wadlata.
Oh and DON’T FORGET TO LOOK UP, the dinosaur might be a bird.
