Evaluation

Thank you for holding an event in National Science Week 2011. Investigating the way that National Science Week events are run and are received by their audience really helps us to develop better and more successful events. Evaluation templates are produced for use by everyone who runs a National Science Week event.

The Art of Chemistry

In an exciting project that uses art to describe the most fundamental and important document used by chemist, Australian artists will join with chemists to produce a unique interpretation of each element of the 2010 IUPAC Periodic Table for the International Year of Chemistry.

Artists will create individual prints of each element interpreting information suppllied to them on the element's discovery, history, how it exists in nature and its modern day uses. All of the individual prints will be brought together form a full Periodic Table that will tour Australia and New Zealand after the project launches in Hobart on 4 August 2011.

The project will result in a multi-disciplinary educational resource that brings art, history and modern science together, all linked by the elements. The Periodic Table will also be made available online and as a poster.

How to Enter

To be eligible for the School Prize, you will need to complete and submit this online media form by 12 September 2011.

The survey is a pdf form and it needs to be opened with the latest version of the free Adobe Reader in order for the print, save and submit buttons to function.

Type your answers directly into the form. You can save the document at any time, allowing you to complete it in stages if needed. When the form is complete, press the submit button at the end of the form and it will be sent to us.

If you are using a Mac or a PC with Linux or you do not have the latest version of Adobe Reader, we recommend that you:

  1. complete the form all at once (as the 'save' feature won't work for you)
  2. print the form as a backup hard copy
  3. submit the electronic form

If you have any difficulties, we will be happy to accept your form via email or fax (02 6282 9477).
