Science in the City

Science in the City test tube fun! Science in the City gets up close with penguins

Science in the City returns to the Australian Museum and it's going to be bigger and better than ever during National Science Week 2011!

2011 marks the tenth anniversary of Science in the City at the Australian Museum.

A true highlight of the education calendar in Sydney, Science in the City at the Australian Museum gives your students the chance to get up close and personal with the science that surrounds them at home and at school every day.

Join expert scientists and presenters from the University of Sydney, 3M, Fizzics Education, CSIRO, Questacon, SOPA and many more for fun and engaging science activities that will inspire your students in all things scientific - who knows, they may even want to try out some new experiments at school!

Students may enjoy a selection of shows, talks & workshops and a visit to the Science in the City Expo. There will also be the general Museum exhibits and galleries available at no extra costs.

We are pleased to be able to offer this experience to Schools at the rate of $6.00 (museum entry & expo) per student plus extra for each further activity.
