Ultimo Science Festival

Ultimo Science Festival

The Ultimo Science Festival bursts into life from 16 to 29 August 2010 with day and night events, school sessions, family & kids' events, talks and forums for everyone. It's not just for geeks, scientists and students (though they'll be there...) it's for everybody!

The Ultimo Science Festival offers a huge range of things to hear, see and do during National Science Week. The Festival is held along Harris St in Ultimo, five minutes walk from Sydney's Central Railway. The Ultimo Science Festival is presented by the Powerhouse Museum, the ABC, the University of Technology, Sydney and TAFE NSW and supported by the Australian Government and the City of Sydney.

The Hon Barry Jones will be in conversation with Dr Paul Willis (from ABC TV Catalyst).  See ‘The Stupid Species’ with ABC’s Daniel Keogh (Hungry Beast, Radio National’s Science Show) and Kerrie Dougherty (Powerhouse’s Curator of Space Technology). All with the bar open and live music grooving…when too much science is never enough - Friday 20 August from 6pm
