What's New 2009

Science Alive!

Now in its 4th year, Science Alive! is one of the premier events in SA. This huge FREE community event will be held on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August 2009 in the Stirling Angus Hall at the Wayville Showgrounds.

Attracting almost 30,000 visitors over the 2 days, Science Alive! has something for everyone: spectacular science shows, hands-on experiments, mini-planetariums, interactive exhibits, solar cars, electronics, native animals, robotics, flight simulators and so much more, including over 50 booths.

Patron of National Science Week (SA) is internationally acclaimed science communicator, Dr Rob Morrison OAM. Rob Morrison and Deanne Hutton will reunite for a number of performances of the hugely successful TV science show, The Curiosity Show.

Careers @ Science Alive!

Friday 7 August will be an additional day especially for high schools. As well as the interactive exhibits and science shows, Careers @ Science Alive! will feature a large range of study and career information, supplemented with seminars and workshops with enthusiastic young scientists and engineers. Plenty to keep students actively involved throughout the day. Each student will have an opportunity to win an iPod on the day. Numbers will be restricted so high schools should book soon.
