In the lead up to National Science Week we're on the hunt for Australia’s best science blogger!
The Big Blog Theory is asking the public to nominate and vote for their favourite science blogger in a competition which celebrates the online science community.
As well as the prestige of being named Australia’s best science blogger, the winner will become the official blogger for National Science Week 2010 and will receive a four-day national tour to National Science Week events to blog about the events they attend, people they meet and interesting things they learn. Thanks to Huawei Australia the winner will also receive a U8230 Andriod Smartphone loaded with $100 credit.
A special microblogging category has also been created to acknowledge the work of science Tweeters. The winner of the microblogging category will receive a Huawei U8230 Andriod Smartphone loaded with $100 credit.
Once nominations are received a panel of expert judges will use their knowledge of science media, communication and blogging to determine the top ten finalists in the blogging category and the top five finalists in the microblogging category. In the spirit of blogging the finalists will be posted to the competition site for the public to view and vote on the winners.
Nominations for the competition have now closed, finalists have been determined and the winners announced!
